The Department of Justice (DOJ) has sued Live Nation on monopoly allegations, seeking to break up the company and its ticketing giant, Ticketmaster. Live Nation has denied these claims, and the trial is set for next year.
Additionally, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has sued Live Nation and Ticketmaster, accusing them of working with ticket scalpers to bypass ticket limitations and sell tickets at inflated prices on the secondary market. Live Nation refuted these allegations, but Ticketmaster took proactive measures to combat scalping by banning multiple account usage and closing its TradeDesk platform. The company also appointed Saumil Mehta as its new president to lead an AI transformation.
